The costs for books is not included in the above cost. Students will be guided on how to purchase books for Summer Advantage. Information about the textbooks required for the course is included in the confirmation packet sent out to students upon registration.

Transportation/Miscellaneous Expenses

Transportation expenses also depend on the student. During previous years, Summer Advantage students did not travel home on the weekends because of the short duration of the program. The local bus is free to WSU students who show their WSU ID and allows for easy travel into town and around WSU. Many places do not take long to walk to and in the nice, summer weather many students opt to walk to town. Thus, transportation costs should be minimal. Miscellaneous expenses for toiletries, school supplies, movie rentals, late night pizza delivery, etc., will vary depending on individual lifestyles. Summer Advantage may offer students a team-building activity or recreational adventure that uses the University Recreation's Challenge Course or Outdoor Recreation Adventure Trips.
